Camp Life

Dance Camp is different for everyone.

As of July 23, 2026, there is a waitlist for cabins for all registration options, except for the last five days, which still has some limited availability. Those who register for the first four days, the first six days, the last seven days, and all eleven days may fill out the cabin request form to join the waitlist, but should plan to tent.

Accommodations

There are cabin spots and plentiful tenting areas available for campers. Cabin beds are somewhat limited, so we encourage everyone to consider tenting.

Campers will have access to all shared bathrooms and the outdoor shower house whether they stay in a cabin or a tent.

No food of any sort is allowed in cabins or tents due to the prevalence of bears and other critters.

Cabins

Cabins are small and rustic, fitting 4-6 people in twin beds; some cabins have bunk beds. Cabins have no electricity or plumbing – there are lavatory pods nearby, and shower houses elsewhere in Camp. Specific beds are not guaranteed, nor are roommate requests, but we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible.

In order to be guaranteed a cabin bed, fill out the cabin request form by July 6. Campers must complete this form by July 31 in order to be eligible for a cabin reservation (though availability is not guaranteed after July 6). Cabin assignments will arrive via google doc link through an email a few days before Camp begins and will also be posted at registration (with the google doc having the most up-to-date assignments).

Reserving a cabin when you are tenting, or taking a cabin mattress to your tent, is prohibited. Only those who are fully registered may reserve a cabin bed. If you sign up for a cabin but then decide you will tent instead, or if you can no longer come to Camp, please let housing@dne.org know asap so we can give someone a bed from the waitlist.

Send any cabin questions to housing@dne.org.

Tenting

The woods of CTT are very magical and there is plenty of tenting space! When choosing your spot, please respect the tenting rules for everyone’s safety and in order to preserve the systems at CTT. See the Accommodations & Amenities section of the FAQ for tenting locations and rules.

Noise at Night

There are activities which produce late-night noise at Dance Camp. Check the schedule and map before selecting your sleeping location, if you need a quieter sleeping space at night.

Accessibility

At DNE, we try our best with limited resources to create an accessible and inclusive experience for anyone who would like to attend. If you have access needs or concerns that would affect your ability to attend Camp, please check the FAQ page and the Accessibility and Inclusion page to learn more about what we have available, and how to apply for accessible accommodations when you register.

Food at Camp

Beginning in 2025, the kitchen at Camp will be serving meat in addition to vegetarian and vegan offerings. DNE uses organic and local ingredients when possible. We eat together in a beautiful dining hall and at outdoor picnic tables. We can accommodate most special dietary requests; visit the FAQ page for more info.

Chores

Chores are love in action, where you meet new people and keep Camp affordable. Everyone at camp help makes camp happen! When you check in, Chores can guide you to find tasks that are right for you.

Wellness, Health, and Safety

DNE’s goal is for everyone to be 100% healthy! Please do your part to protect and love all of DNE.

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Always wash your hands before entering the dining hall, as well as after using bathrooms and porta-potties.
  • Wear closed-toed shoes for all kitchen shifts, and hair pulled back or covered (mandatory).
  • Check for ticks at least once every 24 hours.

A healthcare professional provides advice and first aid several hours each day.

Camp’s self-service 24/7 Wellness Center has basic conventional and alternative first aid supplies, including: over-the-counter medications, a refrigerator for medications (only), electric tea pots, hot packs, and ice packs.
