National Bus Information
The closest drop off point by bus to Poland Springs, ME is Lewiston, ME.
Greyhound, in conjunction with either Peter Pan or Vermont Transit,
runs buses four times a day from New York City (you can actually start
as far south as Washington DC) through Boston, Portsmouth (New
Hampshire) to Portland and then to Lewiston, Maine. Taking a taxi to
camp from Lewiston is far cheaper than from Portland. Buses from other
locations also may be taken to Portand.

BY CAR: From the Maine Turnpike (I-95) take Exit #63, the Gray exit, turn right heading northeast on 202 towards 26. Stay straight; go onto 202 for .1 mile. Turn left onto 26 for 9.6 miles. Turn slight right onto 122 (at service station) for 1.7 miles. Bishop Rd is on the right. NOTE: Do not go to the Verrill Rd. entrance to camp) Turn on Bishop Rd. Follow signs to Dance New England. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Greyhound runs buses from New York and Boston to Lewiston, Maine (the closest bus station to camp, taxi fare is much less). Please see the Greyhound website for more information.
The Lewiston bus station location is 1567 LISBON ST; the number is (207) 782-0311. The station has taxi numbers posted inside and outside the station for people arriving and needing a taxi.
From Portland a local cab company, Airport Limo Taxi and Livery (207) 773-3433 or (800) 517-9442, prefers reservations a day in advance, but may be able to pick you up if you call them when you arrive in Portland. They also have a "direct line" at airport that says "Airport Limo Taxi." A picture of Mike, the owner, is there. Call them for current prices.
If you have not made arrangements in advance, it is unlikely a pick up by someone from camp is possible.
