After reading this list of instructions, use the Ride Board link below to
read the current list of ride Topics to see if any
existing ride matches your needs.
Use the New Topic
button on the Ride Board to create a new ride Topic,
only if you can't find anything suitable in the existing ride Topics.
Put useful detail in your SUBJECT line so that you get what you want:
Subject: NEED: New York - from 23rd and/or to 28th
Subject: OFFER: Ottawa - from 24th and/or to 29th
* If you OFFER a ride, use Subject: OFFER: city_name - from_time to_time
* If you NEED a ride, use Subject: NEED: city_name - from_time to_time
We all know your message is about car rides - the SUBJECT line does
not need to say "I need a ride" or "I'm offering a ride" - we already
know that.
Use the one word OFFER or
NEED and use the city name and the dates in the
SUBJECT so people can find your item.
In the TOPIC TEXT body of your posting, put in all the details:
How many people?
From where to where?
How will you share the costs?
How much baggage goes with you / can you transport?
What time(s) would work for you?
Will you make small detours to visit nearby cities?
Can you share in the driving? (Can you drive a standard shift?)
